Exceptional Student Education

Dr. Kimberly Bias is the Director for Program Support in Student Services. In this capacity she oversees the programming for Exceptional Student Education and ESOL in the district. Dr. Bias received a Bachelor of Arts in Âé¶¹¸ßÇå Education and Specific Learning Disabilities from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. Her Master's and Doctorate Degrees are in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida. She has served as an elementary principal and district leader in both Orange County and Brevard County. Her passion is creating optimal learning experiences for students with disabilities to achieve exceptional levels of success.

Dr. Patricia Fontan is the Director for Administrative Support in Student Services. She oversees compliance regarding the Individual with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Americans with Disabilities Act Section 504 for the district. Dr. Fontan received a Bachelor's of Arts in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) from Purdue University. Her Educational Leadership Master's degree is from Nova Southeastern University and her Doctorate is from the University of Central Florida. Dr. Fontan has been working in Brevard Public Âé¶¹¸ßÇå since 1997 as an ESE teacher, ESE Staffing Specialist, Coordinator and Director. She has worked to establish a culture of collaboration amongst all stakeholders for students with disabilities to ensure equitable services for all students.
